The number of licensed gun carriers has reached over 1 million in Texas and continues to grow each year. This substantial growth has increased sales in compact handguns, and we have seen a major jump in new shooters and gun owners in the industry. While the LTC course teaches you how to obey the laws in Texas, it does not teach you handgun manipulation, how to shoot, or provide you with any training. It is the responsibility of every gun owner to come prepared for the shooting qualification of the course and to maintain his or her proficiency and skill level. As a gun owner and carrier, you are also responsible for every round you fire.
